Did you heard of 2L FPC with 0.15mm base material? It’s made up of normal material, 18/25um base material and 18/50um base material. The main point make it special is etch 6L FPC to be 2L FPC, the inner 4 layers copper are etched out, only leave the polyimide. Use pure glue to connect polyimide layers. After that, 6L FPC changed to 2L FPC, and the middle substrate Layer is 0.15mm. For 2L FPC, 0.15mm base material is very special. It’s used on RF products, so need so thick substrate Layer.
